Responsive Web Design has flipped the workflow of multi-discipline organizations on its head. Waterfall methodologies no longer work due to new points of collaboration needed between design and development. These intersection points leave many asking, "What does a wireframe look like?" or "What happened to comps?" This talk will look at how building pattern libraries can also help to build better teams.
Hi there! My name is Vernon and I'm a Front-End Architect/Developer Advocate for Ally Financial. Over the past 5 years at Ally, I've observed different interactions and collaboration methods between visual designers, information architects, content strategists and writers, back-end developers, front-end developers, development operations, testing teams and business partners. In these observations, I've noticed patterns of integral collaboration points between designers and developers that, if gotten right, can radically change the way teams approach the production of their website or web application.
